Lemon Grove School District was honored with the national Golden Bell Award in 2001-2002 for the educational strides they have made in the area of technology. We at Mount Vernon Elementary School have a minimum of 10 computers in every primary classroom and 15 computers in every upper grade classroom. This is a two to one student to computer ratio!
At Mount Vernon all of our teachers have classroom intranet sites. Students work on computers in their classrooms on a daily basis by accessing the internet to do research, creating power point presentations, using learning programs to foster reading and math development such as CCC, and more!
