YMCA Program

We have our very own YMCA program on our campus to help meet the child care needs of our working families!   This program is open from 6:30 am - 6:00 p.m.   Families needing financial assistance may be able to qualify for the Safe Neighborhoods YMCA program which provides homework support for students and is partially subsidized.  For more information please call...

Safety Patrol

We are fortunate to have a wonderful Safety Patrol program at Mount Vernon!   This program is for 4th - 5th grade students and is facilitated by one of our teachers, Linda Myer-Abbott.

Peace Patrol

We are fortunate to have a strong Peace Patrol at Mount Vernon!    This wonderful program trains students in conflict resolution among their peers.  Peace Patrol members help to resolve problems before school and at recess.    Their dedicated leader is one of our teachers, Karen Henry.
