School Parent Survey
Your Voice Matters   The Lemon Grove School District believes that parent involvement in education is the cornerstone for children's success in school.

One important and useful way parents can participate in their children's education is by completing the California School Parent Survey.

This anonymous online survey allows parents to clearly communicate how their children's school is doing in several key areas.

Enroll Now - LGSD Preschool Program

Lemon Grove School District is now enrolling for the 2017-18 school year. We offer part-day, full-day, and dual immersion programs at no-cost.  Services are available to all persons who meet program eligibility requirements. We welcome enrollment of children with disabilities. We offer preschool programs at each of our elementary school sites!

Our program staff is devoted and attentive in ensuring that all of our students are learning in a safe and healthy environment. The program staff is qualified by education, training, experience, and attitude to work with young children. All staff participates in a continuous program of professional development. The maximum class size is 24 children. We maintain the licensing requirements of a 1:8 ratio for all general education classrooms.

At Lemon Grove School District we recognize the importance of a quality early childhood experience for all children and we also value the partnership with families. We realize that children learn both at home and at school, therefore our program promotes parental involvement and facilitates child learning in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

Lemon Tree - LGSD Logo How can you help support our schools?

In an effort to provide the best possible learning experience for the children of Lemon Grove, the Lemon Grove School District is continuously seeking the involvement of parents and community members in the development of the
Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). This plan, which determines the ways in which state funds are spent in California schools, is a living document which guides decision-making at the schools.

Some of the ways these dollars have provided support in the current year:

  • Staff professional development
  • Analysis of student data to articulate needs and differentiated instruction
  • Implementation of Common Core standards; intervention programs
  • Specialized academy school options
  • Safe, clean and well-maintained learning environments
  • Technology hardware, software, licenses, and infrastructure
  • Increased social worker services
  • Student and family engagement

You can help support our students by adding your voice to the conversation. The LCAP is constantly being reviewed, revised and improved thanks to the input of parents, kids, staff and other community members.  Please join me so that we can work together to support our students.
